-

Brutalia, Days of Labour, the short film directed by Manolis Mavris won the Canal + award yesterday at the Critics’ Week awards in Cannes. We are very proud to have participated in this beautiful project and thank the whole team for their work!

A minority co-production with Greece (Avion Films and Stathi Twins), the film is written and directed by Manolis Mavris.  The synopsis: Identical girls in military uniforms killing themselves at work. A matriarchal and oligarchic society. What would happen if we replaced the bees with humans? Anna, a worker bee, cannot accept the violence that surrounds her and is driven to make a radical decision.

In Belgium, the film was produced with the support of the Film and Audiovisual Center of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and the Belgian Federal Government’s Taxshelter (via Taxshelter.be).
